Literally?

One of my pet peeves is inappropriate use of the word “literally.” I noticed a funny example this weekend:

“‘The future is literally in our hands to mold as we like. But we cannot wait until tomorrow. Tomorrow is now.’ – Eleanor Roosevelt”

Where? On a plaque above a bank of urinals in a men’s restroom at the California Academy of Sciences.
